The NDIS has introduced increased compliance measures around invoicing and funding periods to help reduce fraud and ensure supports are claimed correctly. While these changes may seem confusing at first, understanding how funding periods work and submitting compliant invoices can help avoid delays and unexpected out-of-pocket costs.
In this guide, we'll explain what NDIS funding periods are, why they matter, what Participants and Providers can do to stay compliant, and how Pacific Plan Management can help make managing your funding easier.
Read our latest blog to learn how these changes may affect participants and providers, and discover practical tips for staying compliant.

Goodbye Sarah
Last month we said goodbye to Sarah who has been a valued part of the Pacific Plan Management family for the past three years.
Sarah has accepted an exciting graduate Accounting position in Sydney, and while we're incredibly sad to see her go, we couldn't be prouder of everything she has achieved. This opportunity is a testament to all her hard work and dedication throughout her studies.
Over the past three years, Sarah has brought kindness, professionalism, and a positive attitude to our team, and we're so grateful for the contribution she's made. She'll certainly be missed by all of us, as well as by the participants and providers she has supported along the way.
Congratulations, Sarah! We wish you every success in this exciting new chapter and know you'll do amazing things. Thank you for everything you've done for Pacific Plan Management – you'll always be part of the family.

Good News
Commonwealth Games
Australia has finished on top of the medal tally at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, bringing home an incredible 171 medals, including 70 gold, 45 silver and 56 bronze medals.
There were many memorable moments throughout the Games, including a historic performance from the athletics team. The men's 4x100m relay team won gold for the first time in 52 years, while Australian athletes also achieved several impressive podium finishes across the competition.
Australia's cyclists dominated on the track, securing 10 gold medals and 28 medals overall, with standout performances from riders including Georgia Baker and Leigh Hoffman.
One of the most inspiring stories of the Games came from 76-year-old Louise Hoskins, who became the oldest Commonwealth Games gold medallist in history after winning the para women's pairs lawn bowls event.
Australia finished comfortably ahead of England in the final standings, making the 2026 Commonwealth Games a celebration of determination, teamwork and sporting excellence.
