Automatic Plan Extensions for NDIS Participants

The NDIS has introduced automatic plan extensions through its new computer system. If a plan reassessment isn’t completed before your plan expires, your current plan will be automatically extended for the same duration (up to 12 months). The plan budget will be updated in line with annual indexation, ensuring adjustments reflect the 2023-24 NDIA Annual Pricing Review.

Participants don’t need to take any action, the NDIS states: "notifications about auto-extensions will be sent via letter or the my NDIS participant portal and app".

New Accessibility Features in Android Update

Google's latest Android update introduces two exciting accessibility features.

Expressive Captions - which enhances audio captions with uppercase text, phonetic transcriptions, and other elements to create a more immersive experience for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Spoken Image - Descriptions provide detailed and spoken explanations of images for people who are blind or have low vision, including support for follow-up questions.

Both features are now available on Android devices, making technology more inclusive for all users.

People with disabilities and their families are invited to come and try a range of accessible and inclusive sport and recreation activities which are in your community in a supported and safe environment. Sports range from biking, basketball, dancing tennis and more! They will provide everything you need to participate - just bring yourself, friends and/or family and enjoy the day.
