New NDIS Fraud Tip-Off Form

The NDIS has introduced a new online tip-off form to facilitate the reporting of suspected fraud and non-compliance.

The form is available on the NDIS website. Users will receive a reference ID upon submission and can still report anonymously.

Budget Summary

The Australian government plans to save $14.4 billion by reforming the NDIS to ensure financial sustainability.
Changes aim to address plan inflation and strengthen oversight. Additionally, $468.7 million will be invested in the NDIS and its oversight commission to stop people defrauding the system.

The budget also targets tax avoidance, extending compliance programs and saving costs in the public service. These measures aim to enhance revenue and control expenditure. Overall, the strategy focuses on managing spending.

In Australia, about one in five people are living with a disability. Of those, approximately 80% of disabilities are invisible.
The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a simple tool for you to voluntarily share that you have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent – and that you may need a helping hand, understanding, or more time in shops, at work, on transport, or in public spaces.

Mentor Mates is dedicated to fostering relationships between support workers and participants. There Mentors help put the right systems in place to ensure participants successfully achieve there goals. They also aim to get participants out into the community through social groups. It's a great way to make new friends, have fun, and be part of a welcoming group.
