NDIS Update: Reform Roadmap Unveiled"
The federal government has introduced draft legislation for NDIS reforms following a major review, aiming to better enable future recommended changes.
Proposed changes include a needs-based assessment upon entry into the Scheme, longer plans of up to five years, and a clearer definition of "NDIS support." Consultation on the reforms will continue for up to 18 months.
However, there are concerns from states and territories over the speed and cost of reforms, particularly regarding foundational supports, which are being pitched as less intensive services to be
